The year 2019 was a tough year for the automobile industry, the luxury automakers witnessed a huge loss. Some companies actually delayed the launches of their new cars and updated versions of their existing cars.
The Fourth gen Audi A8, which was showcased back in 2017 was finally slated to launch in India towards end 2019, but even that got delayed and now and the luxury sedan will come to the Indian market in February 2020.
The fourth-gen Audi A8 may be new for India, the fourth-gen A8 has been on sale in the international markets since 2017. Delays due to various reasons, however, have forced Audi India to repeatedly push back its launch here.
The fourth-gen Audi A8 is available in markets abroad as a standard-wheelbase or a long-wheelbase version (A8 L), but India, as before, is likely to get only the latter. Moreover, the new-gen A8 L is 5,302mm long, 1,945mm wide (excluding ORVMs), and 1,488mm tall, which makes it longer & taller than the outgoing model. The wheelbase figure stands at 3,128mm. The interior sees many of the physical buttons swapped out in favor of digital surfaces and is awash with screens. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster sits in the center console, replete with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8.6-inch curved display for operating various climate control, seating, and multimedia functions.
Audi is expected to bring the sedan here as a CBU. The luxury sedan will rival the likes of the BMW 7 Series facelift, as well as the Mercedes-Benz S-class, Lexus LS 500h and Jaguar XJ. Tell us in the comment section, which one is your favorite Audi Car?
