The famous UV maker of India has inaugurated the extended manufacturing facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana. The facility saw an investment of Rs 250 which will roll out 92,000 vehicles annually as an enhancement to the overall capacity of 140,000 vehicles.
Mahindra has planned to build only commercial vehicles there especially catered to the segment of sub one tonne. The maker may alsom comment to roll out some of the passenger vehicles depending upon the strategic moves, which aren’t identified yet. In addition, the official reports stated, an upcoming commercial vehicle codenamed as P601 will also witness the dawn in Telangana. Overall, the company has said to boost the employment, including direct and indirect both, across the auto and tractor sectors.
The inauguration saw Mr. Shri. K Chandrashekar Rao, Honourable Chief Minister of Telangana. Other important delegates of the state and the organization were also present.
Commenting at the venue, Dr. Pawan Goenka, the Executive Director of Mahindra & Mahindra uttered, Zaheerabad facility is consisted of flexible and agile approach towards the manufacturing which will ensure a desirable ability to respond rapidly for the day-to-day evolving customer needs. The investment of Rs 1100 crore till date has extended the employment generation of 3,500 among the tractor and auto production units.
Leading to other pointers that were left, Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive for Automotive at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd cited, the six major suppliers of Mahindra are also setting up plants in nearby vicinity with investments of more than Rs 100 crore. This will enhance the industrial activities and bring efficiency in operations procedures that may react direct to timely delivery of the products within the framed cost structure.
Hence, Mahindra feel proud of itself, as this unit is the only automotive manufacturing facility in the state of Telangana.
