Mahindra has launched its new H series Xylo. The new version of the vehicle will be powered by company’s mHawk engine.
The new H series Xylo will be available in the three engine varients, H4, H8 and H9. The H4 trim will be coming with the ABS and the H8 will be adding dual airbags, while the top of the line version H9 will be coming with the company’s voice command technology (VCT), digital drive assist system, cruise control, reverse parking assistant and extra stability technology suspension.
The mHawak engine was previously available with the top spec version of Xylo, E9 and churns out about 118 bhp of power and 29kgm of torque and has ARAI certified economy of 14.02 kmpl.
Speaking on the launch, Chief Executive of automotive division of Mahindra & Mahindra, Mr. Pravin Shah said that Xylo has been able to sketch up its own identity since its launch back in 2009. It has established a new benchmark in terms of space and comfort. The introduction of the mHawk engine with the Xylo will be able to further boost its performance and will raise it a level up in the segment. With the new engine the vehicle is equipped with higher power and better economy. With the new engine company is hoping to lure more buyers who are looking towards MPV segment with the hope of something powerful and yet they don’t want to compromise on cabin space and economy. For those Xylo H series will be the best available option.
The Xylo H series has been tagged with the price tag of Rs. 8.23 lakhs (ex showroom Mumbai) for the basic version.
