Quanto has remained the low seller in the range of Mahindra, where company now aims to improve it for a better purpose. For the past some days rumours whirred Quanto of seeing a facelift soon. Now, a major source of the industry turn out with the spy-shots of the same found doing test rounds in the camouflaged avatar near the manufacturing facility of Nashik.
Mild facelift for the front grille, headlamps, bumpers and new design for alloy wheels on higher variants are hugely expected. Inside the cabin, Quanto facelift will see the dashboard in new avatar, where the beige theme will take over fresh steering wheel and lots of others. Advanced music system with Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition can be expected in the features list. The old seats are now reported of undergoing the sea of change with better cushioning and lumbar support.
The major problem with Mahindra vehicles is their suspensions, which too is the same with Xylo; but here the company is trying to reduce it. MPV Xylo saw a tweaked suspension for 2015, whereas the Quanto would also undergo the similar change with changed suspension and addition of extra bushes along with the rear stability bar for better results.
Under the bonnet, Quanto facelift appears to be the same with that 1.5-litre diesel engine of 98.6bhp and 240Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Well, at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 the India based automaker unveiled the AMT version, where with this sea of change a source utter it feasible of making way to production for meeting the surging demand of diesel automatics in this country.
