Mahindra and Mahindra has been a leader in the segment of utility vehicles in India. The car maker is now totally geared up to start developing the next generation of its SUVs for the Indian market. The company is super charged up with the positive reception that its latest SUV, the XUV500 has received from Indian consumers. Armed with this confidence, the company is now planning to introduce the next generation of its SUV series and is already working together with its subsidiary in South Korea, Ssangyong Motors, for developing the new vehicles.
The Vice Chairman of the Company has recently released a statement to one of the leading media houses of India in an answer to a query about the future plans of the company in the Indian auto market. In the statement, Mr. Mahindra has said that the car maker has all the traits of marathon runners. The company has often been left out of the equation in the Indian car market with people doubting the abilities of the company stating that it had gone in to a lot more activities than it could possibly handle. It is a question that Mr. Mahindra has said that he has been facing for more than twenty years. The Vice Chairman said that not only did Mahindra have the plan and the conviction to perform whatever it wanted to achieve, the company was also blessed with excellent execution skills to have the same done.
In the platform of the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, Mahindra has put on display the complete global portfolio of Ssangyong products which includes the Korando, Rexton, among others. Most of these SUVs from Ssangyong are going to be launched in Indian market by the end of 2012, which is going to be a part of the expansion in portfolio that the company has planned.
