Mahindra Scorpio facelift is tilted in abundance over the bowl of spy-shots on internet. But none of them revealed interiors in great detail as of the latest one had did.
Captured by one of the major sources of industry, Autocar, spy shots are clear and quite aggressive to reach a conclusion.
On the designing quotient, dashboard is changed drastically with all the bits inclining it to upmarket looks. From oval to the rectangular air con vents with chrome finish, likewise of XUV 500, new color scheme of beige and black, and a more attractive steering wheel are the streaks that tames to take out Scorpio’s utilitarian looks and lend more sophistication at a first glance. Not to be excluded, the large screen is said to detail the reverse parking camera and also dually play host to entertainment needs. The steering now holds a number of controls, where the AC knobs apparently to have been improved in quality. Even the gear changing lever knob is added a twist.
Now to the extreme left of driver, we mean the area for front passenger, is made comfortable by pushing ahead the grab handle than the seat, and the twin glove boxes planted for more utility.
In addition, the source added, Mahindra provided 12V charging socket next to the gear lever, and the top-end variant to get climate control.
On technical front, it is meant to be powered by 120bhp, 2.2-litre mHawk and the 75bhp 2.5-litre m2DiCR, as both attached to a five-speed manual gearboxes.
Scorpio facelift launch expected to happen later this year, apparently with a slight soar in prices.
On outers, they say, the major changes will take place on headlamps and tail lamps with tweaked bumpers. Nothing great to talk off as Mahindra SUV enjoys a different sort of image in the market, which is intensely sensitive to change or revamp.
