Mahindra has launched the Mahindra Scorpio-N at a starting price of Rs 11.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base variant and Rs 19.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for the manual diesel top-end variant. However, this pricing is only applicable for the first 25,000 bookings, as the brand will later revise the pricing.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N gets two powertrain options, a 2.2L diesel engine which produces 175 HP & 400 Nm of torque & a 2.0L petrol engine which produces 200 HP & 380 Nm of torque. Both the engines are paired to a 6-Speed Manual/Automatic gearbox.
The new Scorpio-N comes with an optional 4WD terrain management system, called the 4Xplor. The terrain management system will offer four modes, sand, mud, grass, & normal. The four-wheel-drive system will get a low ratio gearbox, along with a mechanical rear locking differential and a brake locking front differential.
The Scorpio-N is offered in five variants Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 & Z8L. The lower variants Z2 & Z4 will be offered with the same 2.2L diesel engine as the higher variants but with a lesser powered engine tune. The engine will produce 132 HP in these variants, as compared to the 175 HP of the higher variants.
In terms of comfort and convenience features, the Scorpio-N gets an AdrenoX touch infotainment system, a 12-speaker surround system from Sony, a digital instrument cluster, a multi-parking camera, engine start-stop button, cruise control, wireless charging, Alexa connectivity, and over 70+ connected car tech features.
In terms of safety features, the Scorpio-N gets six airbags, ABS, ESP, hill-hold assist, hill descent control, & driver drowsiness detection system.
The new Scorpio-N comes with new striking design elements like dual barrel lamps, bold grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps. The Scorpio-N looks all new while maintaining its similarity to the previous generations of the Scorpio.
The Scorpio-N is available in seven color options, Deep Forest, Everest White, Napoli Black, Dazzling Silver, Red Rage, Royal Gold & Grand Canyon.
