Mahindra compact SUV is under development, another addition to the repertoire is the Mahindra-Ssangyong jointly developed compact SUV which is codenamed as S102, rivaling Ford EcoSport.
At present, only sketchy information available. The vehicle to be based on Ssangyong X100 platform, and will be the first vehicle to roll out off the Mahindra-Ssangyong venture. The compact SUV is also meant to use the company’s under development 1.0L petrol engine.
Debut is slated to happen in 2015, and to be produced at Mahindra’s Nashik plant.
Alongside, the Mahindra is also planning an MPV based on the same Ssangyong X100 platform. It will compete the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Datsun GO+, Honda Mobilio and so on, and is codenamed as S103. Its debut conjecture is not yet confirmed by the officials.
Lest, the automotive horizon is eager what the Indian carmaker is going to showcase at the stall of upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2014.
