Mahindra named its electric car e2o. This car is likely to be rolled out from the house of Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. It was initially named as Reva NXR at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, its first revelation.

Mahindra e2o will be manufactured at the Bengaluru plant which is capable of producing 30,000 units annually and is also India’s first Platinum certified automobile plant. e2o touches all the 5Cs (clean, convenient, clever, connected and cost-efficient) of Mahindra’s movement which defines the future of mobility.

Mahindra e2o will use next-gen Lithium Ion batteries which can be charged by using a 15 ampere plug point. In fact, customers can either charge it at their home or at workplace. The car will run 100 kms on a single charge. A journey of 100 kms is sufficient for riding in a city. This electric car is also capable of charging itself directly from the sunlight.
