Mahindra Verito Vibe was quite in the hype of media for last some days, as spy shots taken during the commercial shoot had surfaced on internet, whilst of some sneaked images clicked during the test runs too. Right now, the picture that we had got over is of the car which had reached dealerships. As launch slated on 5th June 2013, it must be an obvious activity by the carmakers to make things reach selling destination before the scheduled time.
However, looking at its design, one may be compelled to think that this will definitely not win some of the best design titles of industry, and however that’s true also, but instead it is just a reworked version of Verito. On seeing it carefully one can notice, the structure remained all same to that of elder sibling where only the boot chunk is chopped off from the whole bag. Tailgate is seen mounted low below the rear windshield, and taillight clipped on the side edges of rear pillars. Not so more to discuss on this initiative, but we speculate engine specifications to remain same with the 1.5 liter Renault K9K diesel engine, that is already famous for powering many cars in our industry.
Thinking back to the case of Verito, we too say Mahindra may take this new toil to the transport service provider as well, we mean the cool cabs and all, which will definitely fill in the immediate gap of volumes for this Indian carmaker, that it is running from pillar to post due to the amendments made in SUV taxations during the 2013 Union budget, hampered its key sales very adversely.
Commenting on the ‘Verito Vibe’, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, has said “While developing this product we have paid particular attention to making this car look different and we are sure that it will appeal to customers with its young and sporty looks and that too without compromising the benefits which our existing Verito has to offer. “
