Maruti Alto 800, one of the world’s best selling model plates, is found doing test with a facelift in India. From the cosmetic perspective, it is more familiar to the Alto 800 rather than Alto K10. That rear fascia is seemed revamped with major changes on tail lamps, bootlid windscreen and bumpers. The newly launched Celerio too have lent culls to it on the most of rear as well front proportions.
In earlier days, it too was noted chunk of styling modification can be expected on the front fascia of the new entry-level Maruti. New headlights, larger chrome grille, redesigned bumper with a larger airdam and foglights enclosures were actually spotted on the test mule.
Doors don’t tend to go under knife.
On technical front, Alto 800 plots a three-cylinder 796 cc engine under hoods producing 48 PS and 69 Nm of torque mated to a cable-operated 5-speed manual gearbox. Speculations are almost confirmed that Maruti may offer K10 1.0-liter engine as a higher variant on this model.
Launch doesn’t seem happening anytime soon.
