It’s raining cars. Of late a day probably hasn’t gone by when a new car or a facelifted one hasn’t been launched. This time it’s the turn of Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki and they have launched a limited edition Onam version of their highly popular Alto 800 in India.
The Onam edition is basically a re-accessorized version of the standard Maruti Alto 800 with 18 new features over sibling. Some of these features include thing like new music system, rear parking sensors, onboard power charger, designer seat covers, embroidery on cushions and Onam graphics and decals.
The package will cost customers Rs.17350 over and above the cost of the car, but it is still almost 26 percent less than the original cost of the package.
Nothing else has been changed. The Onam version, just like the standard Maruti Alto 800m will be powered by the same 796cc petrol engine with a mileage of 22.74km.
Maruti is not the first company to offer added accessories to their existing cars. Last week Volkswagen did the same with its Polo and Vento.
