Launch of the Maruti Ciaz facelift has been delayed by a few days. Earlier, the launch was scheduled for early August, but now it has been pushed back towards the end of the month.
Reason for the delay, as we have learnt, is that a rival company is also planning a launch during that time. Apart from that Maruti also believes that the delay would help Nexa dealers get rid of the existing Ciaz stock. Maruti is already offering a discount of Rs.75,000 to Rs.1.3 lakhs on existing Ciaz models just to clear the stocks before the launch of the updated Ciaz.
The updated Ciaz will get a new front fascia with a new grille, new LED head and taillights, new alloy wheels, updated interior shades along with a new dashboard layout. The car would also see mechanical changes made to it with the introduction of a new 104hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine.
