Did the lot of convincing job to Maruti for quite a long time, WagonR Stingray finally made to Indian shores at an official launching price of Rs 4.09 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
The WagonR Stingray edition is the only cosmetic makeover of the standard Wagon, so the technicality tends to remain same with the 1.0-litre K10B petrol motor.
Optimistically, WagonR Stingray dons the look with the slimmer chrome grille, flat bonnet, projector headlamps, restyled fog lamps, and the remarkable bigger air dam to hold the new prominence on front. The rear stays uber cool with clear tail lamp unit in a slimmer avatar, chrome strip over the license plate (with WagonR Stingray inscribed on it), and the rear spoiler.
Side profile remains all the same, but the new set of gun-finished making it feel better. Five paint jobs made available to choose on the exteriors, namely Midnight blue (new), Passion red, glistening grey, Superior white and, Silky silver.
Interiors tend to go mostly with the Piano black theme, the instrument cluster happens to be contradicting it with the blue theme for the distinct “Stingray” image.
Following are the trims made available in India with the respective prices:

The top end variant (i.e. Vxi O) comes with a driver airbag, ABS, power windows on all doors, electronically adjustable wing mirrors, and stunningly a leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls to steer the mood every-time high. Whereas, VXI variant closes the deal with rear power windows, a rear wiper and de-fogger, adjustable headrests for both the rows (i.e. front and rear), keyless entry, integrated music system and grey alloy wheels.
However, one needs not to be worried about the fuel-efficiency of this car, because as famous the Indian carmaker claims ‘WagonR Stingray brutality’ with 20.51kmpl as per ARAI.
