Maruti will soon be adding automatic version of the Ritz hatchback. The Ritz automatic is expected to arrive with a 1.2 litre K12 petrol engine coupled with 4-speed automatic transmission that churns out about 86 bhp of power.
Similar to the Dzire automatic, the Ritz automatic will be available only with the mid-level version Vxi ABS trim. With the Ritz automatic, Maruti will now be offering three automatic gearbox equipped models in India another in the lineup are Swift Dzire and A-star. Ritz automatic will be competing with the cars like i10automatic and Honda Brio automatic.
According to the sources, Ritz automatic will be pricedaround Rs. 6.3 lakh. The Brio auto featuring a five speed gearbox is priced from Rs. 5.74 lakh to Rs. 5.99 lakh and i10 with four speed gearbox is priced at Rs. 6.16 lakh. It will be interesting to see competition heating up in the automatic hatchback segment.
Dealers have already started bookings for the Ritz automatic. Ritz can be booked at a price of Rs. 50,000 and the deliveries will be starting from January 15th.
