As the sales of auto industry getting more acute during these days, with the specific 6 percent fall seen during the FY 2013-14, the automakers still managed to get their sufficient pie of revenue.
Maruti Suzuki remained the undisputerd king of all the times on the No.1 position, followed by Hyundai on the second. The rejig happened at the third where Mahindra took over the Tata, and became the third largest passenger vehicle maker in the country. Tata’s share had dropped drastically rating it back to a spot back to more than a couple of decades, but still it hadn’t fallen down than the fourth position. On the fifth came the Honda, thanks to its Amaze and new Honda City, introduced in the diesel options. More to come, the MPV Mobilio too is about to make the condition batter for others in the competition. The company grew a much drastic 83 percentage in the last fiscal.
One Japanese followed by another, Toyota ranked at sixth.
And now the Americans – Ford, that had recently launched the EcoSport has swapped the seventh position with the GM. Now the bowtie logoed with no new blockbuster launches (except the MPV Enjoy) had fallen on eight. Renault managed to keep smiling at the ninth, thanks to Duster which is a potential seller not only in India, but throughout the globe. It still had maintained the pace for the French in our country. And on the tenth, any guesses, a German had fallen onto it, because it hadn’t launched any of the vehicles during the tenure. So dwindling with those good gold wines, the VW is awarded the last standing in the countdown.
We hope, the automotive regulation committee shall keep some awards ceremony to tell these sales tales, what say?
