Maruti Suzuki Eeco is about to a makeover with a BS6 compliant engine. The car received a safety upgrade earlier this year when it received driver’s side airbags, ABS and rear parking sensors. In fact, one more safety update is in the pipeline for this car.
That will be done to make the car meet latest crash test standards. When it comes to meeting BS6 emission norms, the Eeco will soon get an updated engine. It is currently powered by an old 1.2-litre G-Series petrol engine.
Suzuki’s much talked about K-Series engines cannot be mounted on the Eeco because of design difference. It is all but certain that with new engine and safety features the Eeco will also see the price increase.
