Despite the criticism and negative response to the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, the makers have decided not to scrap it completely. Instead they are launching a new facelifted version on 28th September. The looks of this modified beast will resemble an SUV and it will have the SHVS mild-hybrid system and a 1.3 litre motor which is available in the diesel variant only.
The grille has been made more upright and vertical slats have been included. The bumper too has been redesigned. A new bonnet and alloy wheels have been included to give the motor a new look. The interiors boast of updated instrument cluster dials with a new multi-information display, new interior colour combinations, upholstery with contrast stitching, and new trim options for the dashboard.
The additional SHVS technology and the GST implementation will see a spike in the rates of this beast and in case of any additional cess on larger cars, the price is further expected to rise.
