The Maruti Suzuki XL6 is set for launch on August 21 st , but before that the company has released a teaser image of the car. The XL6 is based on the much popular Ertiga MPV and will be sold through the company’s premium NEXA chain of showrooms.
Although the XL6 is based on the Ertiga, it does have some serious design differences. For instance, the car has a flatter hood and a more upright nose up front compared to the Ertiga. It will also get roof rails, but no sun roof.
Towards the back, the car would have a raised height and body cladding across the side, back and the wheel arches. In all likelihood, the XL6 would be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter transmission. Suzuki’s famed SHVS hybrid system could also be offered with car.
