Yesterday caught during a photo shoot session, Maruti Wagon R Stingray had once again caught without any camouflage in India, specifically in Mumbai, as said with regards to its number plate mentioning ‘MH 03’ initials.
The Stingray edition of Wagon R is done with the slimmer headlamps housing projector-beams, bigger air dam, flat bonnet, all new bumpers, and most remarkably the slimmer yet chromed front grille.
It is the front which had received major upgrades while the side profile is maintained intact. The rear is done with a bit tweaking assortment namely slimmer tail lamps with clear lenses, rear spoiler and the chromed license plate strip with “Stingray Wagon R” written in bold.
Maruti Wagon R Stingray is said to be made of the cosmetic changes only, so the power to its engine-bay may come from the ongoing three-cylinder 67bhp 1.0-litre K10 series petrol motor. It is said to be pricier by Rs. Rs 40,000-50,000 than the current badge, hence the minute interior changes can also be expected. Very importantly, it will get the “ABS” in VXI trim, as what it can be seen in the spy shots.
Launch expected to happen soon.
