Mercedes Benz has launched a new C-Class sedan in India. Called the Mercedes Benz C 200 Progressive, the new car has been priced at Rs.43.46 lakhs. The car would be made available with a petrol engine and a mild hybrid tech variant.
The diesel variant had been launched in September of this year. The petrol C 200 would be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine which comes fitted with something called EQ Boost function which is basically a 48 volts mild hybrid system that runs on torque fill function. The EQ Boost adds further 14 HP to the engine’s peak output.
The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The C 200 can go from zero to 100kmph in just 7.7 seconds and has a top speed of 239kmph.
