Pinning underneath will be the Mercedes-Benz’s MFA platform using the front-wheel drive layout which all the siblings like A-Class, B-Class, GLA-Class and even the CLA 45 AMG uses.
On the cosmetic front, it long nose, steep roofline for a coupe like structure making way for a stubbed boot space, appeals it pose energetic and young than the rest of models available in this price band.
The bonnet will hide the options of petrol and diesel engines both. The gasoline machine is meant to come powered by 2.0-litre turbo-petrol of 181bhp and 300Nm of torque. The diesel trim on other side is going to see the daylight with a 2.2-litre engine producing 135bhp and 300Nm of torque. All of them will get married to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox sending all the traction to the front wheels.
Initially, this model will be imported as CBU (completely built-up) units from the other market but sooner it is bound to be produced locally at the Mercedes-Benz Indian manufacturing facility at Pune, Maharashtra.
Hence, the pricing will go as far as between Rs 27-32 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
