Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG launched in India for Rs 68.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The car under its hoods is bolstered with the smallest AMG engine of 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged motor that pumps out 360PS (355bhp) of peak power and 450Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch AMG SpeedShift transmission which transfers traction to all the four wheels. The slot of 0-100km/h can be achieved in 4.3 seconds, with the top speed electronically restricted to 250kmph.
CLA45 AMG is based on the four-door coupe version of the Mercedes-Benz CLS.
At present, the CLA45 AMG is the cheapest performance car in India. Mercedes is also reported to be unveiling more of the trims in the model plate, and probably they will be the standard CLA180 or CLA200 in both petrol and diesel.
The launch of CLA45 AMG is spruced to target young aspirers across the nation.
