Mercedes-Benz India, on August 20th, kicked off the country’s biggest workshop with a total investment of Rs.52 crore.
The novel workshop of Auto Hangar, Mercedes-Benz India’s dealer-associate in the region of Mumbai, covered up a region of more than 100,000 square feet.
It has 54 committed bays, which are able to overhaul 60 cars on a daily basis and can hire over 155 service staff.
Mr. Peter Honegg, Managing Director and chief executive officer stated that world-beating servicing criterions will be the main differentiator and Mercedes-Benz will carry on making novelstandards and stay on top.
Mr. Peter said that they have been concentrating on strategically flourishingtheir network in the Indian market and this noveltop-notch workshop is yet an additionalfootstep to move nearer to the clients.
While talking to the media persons at the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Honegg also stated that Mercedes-Benz India was “way prior to the contenders” regarding its group of services.
Mr. Honegg also said that the service is the key function of the biz.
While discussing about the auto major’s concentration on the after-sales services, Mr. Peter added that they are topping in service, not only in terms of numbers but also in terms of quality.
Calling the affect of the rupee reduction an ‘awful’ one, Honegg added that the firm was finding it hard to stay abreast of the declining Indian currency.
Honegg guaranteed that Mercedes-Benz India hadn’t passedup the fall-out of the declination in the Indian currency to the client since the majority of it was hedged.
But, Honegg added that if the Indian currency devaluatedfurther than Rs 75 as against the Euro, it would be handed to the client.
