Crippled with a number of launches this year, Mercedes Benz India had launched a vehicle again to us called as ‘E63 AMG’ for Rs. 1.29 crore ex showroom Delhi. It is most probably the same as sophisticated E Class sibling on exteriors, but under the hoods the notorious 5.5-litre V8 (AMG) engine does the cranking of magnificent 560PS and 730Nm of torque.
Sport, Sport+ and Manual are the three transmission modes which the 7-speed MCT is applied into. It helps in achieving 0-100kmph in just 4.2 seconds.
And to make the cosmetic flirt, AMG version of (subtle) E Class is done with bigger brakes and wider AMG body kit – that includes splitter, exhaust pipe, bumpers and wheels. Whilst, the ‘E63 AMG’ logo is also received on the bits like floor mats etc. of new car.
Not to be done alone, this adrenaline aspirated badge of the Mercedes Benz will compete with recently launched Audi RS5 aggressively, where the BMW X5 and the Jaguar XFR-S may take a slight back seat too.
