Mercedes-Benz has now revealed the price of the new E Class Coupe and Cabriolet for the UK market. The starting price of the Coupe has been kept at 35,095 pounds and the Cabriolet has been priced at 38,465 pounds. The new E Class Cabriolet and Coupe features upgraded specs and revised looks. it is one of the most extensive model revision ever taken by Mercedes-Benz.
The vehicle are now about 21 percent more efficient and also features several new technological upgrades one of which is Stereo Multi Purpose camera that features two eyes that allows it to create 3D image of objects up to a range of 50 meters and assists with the different safety systems.
The new E Class Caoupe and Cabriolet is available in the two models; SE for the E 220 CDI engine and AMG sports which comes in 3 diesel engine (E220 CDI, E 350 BlueTEC and E 250 CDI) and one petrol version- E 200. Both the models for the Coupe and Cabriolet features standard features like COMAND online interface, DAB digital radio, partial LED headlights, speed sensitive direct power steering, active park assist, Collision Prevention Assist and Active Park assist.
In addition SE model also gets a 17 inch twin spoke alloy wheels, single lamella Sport grille, dark aluminum trim and leather upholstery. The Mercedes AMG Sports model receives 18 inches twin spoke alloys, upgraded front disk, AMG body styling, twin pipe exhaust, leather upholstery with multi-contoured seats, AMG steering wheel and AMG floor mats.
Both the models, Cabriolet and Coupe has got the revised appearance with the bi-xenon headlamps, in the single headlamp lens and Lamella sport grille. The new front bumper has more expressing V shape and bigger air vents. The rear part has been blessed with the new tail lamps and a wide rear bumper with the wing design. On the Cabriolet model the deflector and aircap now automatically engages itself on reaching the speed above 40 kmph and automatically closes down when you reach a speed of 16 kmph. The sound insulating roof can be opened or closed in mere 20 seconds.
For the new AMG Sports model there will be an option of upgradation to the AMG Sport Plus package. This will be available from October 2013 and will be priced at 1,795 pounds. This will consists of 19 inches bi-colour alloys, body coloured AMG boot spoiler, AMG sports seats in Artico/Dinamica with the red stitching, red coloured seat belts, AMG floor mats and red stitching on the door, centre console and armrest. Other equipment will include the full LED Intelligent Light System (cost 1,280 pounds), aragonite silver metallic paint (costing 645 pounds) and new leather furnishing in Espresso Brown, Bengal Red and Deep Sea Blue. The Coupe has been priced at 35,095 pounds and the cabriolet has been priced at 38,465 pounds in the UK market.
