Soon after IWC limited edition watches, the F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg once again together had compelled the Mercedes-Benz to pave way for their designs on the collector’s edition of SL63 AMG.
Reportedly, the German automaker unveiled SL63 AMG World Championship 2014 Collector’s Edition in the home country for an unknown price tag. But it is been confirmed that both the cars will be build only for 19 buyers.
The F1 drivers were a part of the development team, but there aren’t any concrete confirmations of both the personalities being associated with which of the car. Apparently, from the presentation of the changes made and looking upon to their tastes, black Mercedes seemed to have seen the guidance of Hamilton – the reason portraying gold accents, whereas the white one is done with silver accents by Rosberg.
Not so significant in numbers, the amendments carried out for the Rosberg car are the key fob, special floor mats and Hockenheim layout embossed on special badge, while the Hamilton’s edition featured the Silverstone track.
Under the hoods it carries the same twin-turbocharged engine of 5.5-litre V8 producing 529 horsepower and 800Nm of torque, accelerating 0-100kmph in 4.2 seconds and reaching a top-speed of 300kmph.
