Mercedes Benz has unveiled the GT 4-door coupe in Geneva. The 4-door GT is being touted as the ‘family model’ from the performance arm of Mercedes. The numbers are promising though.
Even the base GT 53 comes with 429 HP and a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.4 seconds, thanks to the CLS’s six-cylinder gasoline engine and mild hybrid system that provides added electric boost. The GT 63, on the other hand, comes with AMG’s newest 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine with a peak output of 577 HP. The GT 63S has a peak output of 630 HP.
The new 4-door GT will go on sale in the US next year and once it does, the Porsche Panamera will have a serious contender to deal with.
