The CLA AMG has already made to India, but the stock CLA sedan is yet to arrive. The international market of Mercedes-Benz, lucky enough, will soon get a shooting brake as well as an AMG version of shooting brake by the coming year – as the company has unveiled both of them in the virtual media.
The actual screening, in flesh, will see the daylight at Geneva Motor Show 2015.
Dubbed as CLA Shooting Brake and CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake, both the version has similar designs to that of the CLA sedan with wagon style overhang estranged at the rear. CLA Shooting Brakes falls 4.6 metres in length with the boot-space of 495 litres, which further expands to 1,354 litres when rear-seats folded. Electric tailgate, option of lockable boot floor, and aluminium roof rails enhances the excitement of package.
Under the bonnet, CLA Shooting Brake is powered by four petrol and two diesel engines.
The diesel-trims include CLA200 CDI 4Matic, CLA220 CDI 4Matic – all powered by a 2.1-litre turbodiesel.
On the petrol side, the top-end CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake is strapped by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, churning out 355bhp and 450Nm of torque. It reaches 250kmph of max-speed whereas 0-100kmph is clocked in 4.7seconds. The other petrol trims bets the power from a 1.6-litre engine varying in the trims like CLA 180, CLA 200, CLA 250, CLA 250 4Matic.
Hence, prices aren’t going to be that expensive and as this line-up is created for young winners so more of stylish appeals are meant to strike our eyes when seen in the metal.
