Mercedes CLA Spotted With No Camouflage in Iceland

Mercedes Benz CLA has finally been spied with no camouflage while it was being tested in Iceland. This upcoming Mercedes Benz car has so far been caught testing quite a few times, but in previous pictures that car was masked with heavy camouflage.

The latest pictures of the near-production version of the Mercedes Benz CLA were published by German weekly news magazine Der Spiegel.

The latest pictures show that upcoming A-Class CLA keeping most of the distinctive design elements that were first seen on the Concept Style Coupe unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year. The front-end of the new car looks like a precise replica of the A-Class luxury car, while the overall profile looks like its bigger sibling – the CLS.

The CLA is based on Germany-based Mercedes Benz CLA modular MFA platform. This platform has already been used in the new B-Class and A-Class car. This platform is also expected to provide a base to the company’s upcoming sedan, sports utility vehicle and some vehicles.

Reports suggest that the German car maker will also made an AMG version of the CLA available in the market. The AMG version of the CLA will likely come equipped with a 2-litre turbocharged engine that will deliver a maximum of 340PS of power.

The Mercedes Benz CLA is expected to make its official public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show this month, and go on sale in early next year. But, no official details have been released yet.
