Mercedes Benz will be unveiling the new 2015 C Class at the North American International Auto Show. As per reports in the media, it is believed that the company is also planning to unveil the S600 Maybach and the GLA 45 AMG at the auto show. The GLA 46 AMG concept had been already unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2013. The production model of the car that will now be launched is expected to be identical to the concept. The Detroit Motor Show will showcase the production version of the GLA 45 AMG.
The car is said to be equipped with a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.0-litre engine, which is capable of producing a maximum power of 360bhp with a maximum torque of 450Nm. Being the sports model, it is a high performance car that features the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system like most of the other AMG models. The car comes with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7 speed sports transmission that allows the car to meet its performance requirements. The company claims that the car can go from 0 to 100kmph in a span of five seconds.
The S600 Maybach, on the other hand, would be launched with an extra long wheelbase. The car will feature with a 5.5-litre V12 engine, which is capable of producing power of 585bhp. Inside, the car will feature a 2+2 seating arrangement and the car is said to be 5.5 metres in length.
