Know the Top-5 features of the all-new MG ZS EV. The MG ZS EV 2022 has launched at Rs 25.88 lakhs for the top of the line Exclusive variant. Currently, the new ZS EV is only available in top-spec Exclusive trim, while the base-spec Excite trim will be available from July 2022, it is also expected to be priced around Rs 22 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The new 2022 ZS EV comes with a larger battery pack than the previous generation, the one in use is a 50.3 kWh battery offering a certified range of 461 km on a single charge. This battery also happens to be the largest in the segment, considering its capacity and output.
The new MG ZS EV 2022 has been restyled to update it with fresh looks like the MG Astor. With striking new design elements of the front, like the new charging port and bumper style, it garners a lot of attention on the roads.
The interior too feels fresh, as the new ZS EV gets all the bells and whistles which are being offered on the Astor and were missing on the previous generation of the ZS EV. The EV gets first-in-segment features like the dual panoramic sunroof, digital Bluetooth key, rear-drive assist, 360-degree camera, and connected car tech.

Driving Range
As said earlier, the new ZS EV replaces the previous-gen 44.5 kWh battery with a new 50.3 kWh one, which significantly improves its driving range. This battery is coupled with powerful motors which deliver 176 HP and a 0-100 km/h timing of just 8.5 seconds, which is impressive considering its weight and body dynamics. This battery has also received global certification for added safety. The 50.3 kWh battery pack can be charged from 0-90 per cent in roughly 9 hours when charged by a 7.4 kW charger. However, with the 50 kW fast charger, the battery can be charged in just 60 minutes.
Safety Features
The new ZS EV comes with added safety features to the outgoing generation. The model now gets 6-airbags, a 360-degree camera, Hill Start/Descent Control and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. The car is also offered with Rear Drive Assist features including Blind Spot Detection, Electronic Stability Control, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert which detects cars approaching from the rear left or right that are out of the reverse camera and sensor sight.
Connected Car Tech
The new ZS EV is offered with an i-SMART connected system which now comes with more than 75 connected features. This system allows the driver to call out 100 commands to control the Skyroof, AC, Music, Radio, Navigation & more. Further, it also supports 35+ Hinglish voice commands and features in-car services like Park+, MapMyIndia, Shortpedia and Jio.
Digital Instrument Cluster
The previous gen’s analogue instrument cluster is now updated with a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, displaying crisp and neat graphics. The digital cluster makes the interior a whole lot fresher than before.

The new ZS EV is covered under MG’s e-SHIELD program for private customers which provides a free-of-charge 5-years warranty for unlimited kilometres and 8-years / 1.5 lakh kilometres on the battery pack system.
