The first Mini car which might be mass produced has been revealed and it’s called Mini Cooper SE. According to Mini, developing this car meant balancing the car’s performance with its electric powertrain where the car could travel enough distance on a single charge.
This resulted in a single charge range of 235 to 270km. Powertrain on the Mini Cooper SE is a 32.6kWh battery fitted beneath the passenger seat which gives a peak power of 184bhp. With all this the car does 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds with a top speed of 150kmph.
According to Mini, the Cooper SE charges 0 to 80 percent of its capacity in just 35 minutes via a 50kW charging point and in 150 minutes via a 11kW charging point.
