Hatchback segment of India is facing a fiery competition with numbers of competitors entering the fray. Hence, to name the latest in the said, ‘Mitsubishi’ is seemed to be setting its foot with its hatchback called ‘Colt’ for the Indian market.
Colt is sold in Europe for a good numbers past many years; the Japanese carmaker wants to replicate the same in India too.
Upcoming festive season may pose a good ground for the Colt to land its feet on the initial paddock.
We can expect the launch of Colt to happen here because, Mitsubishi recently axed Lancer EVO X, Cedia Sports and Outlander from the Indian repertoire. And the vehicle which is remained on the list is just SUV “Pajero”, helping the carmaker to excel in the fast moving lane of Indian auto fraternity. Moreover, the brand also doesn’t raveled any of the new vehicle on Indian shores since years, so the roll-out of Colt here will prove a boon to the badge in the rusting times of economy.
Hence, engine specifications will be done with the 1.5 litre (for top end variant), while the lower ones to be donning a chopped-off version of same (that’s for attaining the economy).
Price of Colt is expected to be near to Rs. 600,000.
