The top selling MUV (multi-utility vehicle) got better in India. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched their Bolero, updated version. Pricing of the new Bolero starts from Rs. 6.19 lakhs for 2-wheel drives with a 4×4 version to be followed later.
The all new Bolero would get LCCR (low cost common rail) 75 bhp engine from its Scorpio EX, which was introduced recently. Mahindra claim that this engine would deliver a fuel economy of 15.96 km per litre that’s ARAI certified.
The new Bolero has a revised grill that now features a dark grey shade with the previous being body coloured, thus giving a prominence to its new look. It has a new front bumper, restyled headlamps, wheel cover spares and decals. The multi-utility vehicle now sports a rear wiper along with defroster to keep up with CMVR (Central Motor Vehicle Rules). The MUV doesn’t have alloy wheels.
Interestingly, major changes can be seen in the interiors. The cabin has a bronze hue to it. Beige-coloured plastics are seen with a new digital instrumentation console featuring LED displays for speedometer, engine temperature, fuel gauge, steering wheel that’s leather wrapped featuring aluminium inserts, aircon vents and gear knob. All the new things added give an overall better feel to the car with dual tone shades to the seats and wood trims for centre console. To note, the plastic quality overall looks like the one seen in the previous model that’s pretty poor.
