Going hybrid is the new mantra for the Mercedes Benz, and it silently made the announcement that it will launch the lined-up S 500 Plug-in Hybrid by next year.
It is not that all on which the MB had planned to cash upon heavily, but there are more of them in the pipeline to be revealed as soon as possible.
Nothing much of the information extracted about the upcoming hybrids instead, it is confirmed there will be four cylinders petrol and diesel engine in their bay, accompanied by V6 petrol too.
“The Mercedes-Benz hybrid system is modular and scalable in design, and can be applied to numerous model series. In the coming years, in line with the timing of new model introductions, there will be numerous new hybrid models,” states Mercedes-Benz in an official statement of a press release.
Very few of the sneak peeks and it is learnt, a V6 six-cylinder petrol engine assisted by an 8.7 kWh battery will deliver 333 HP and 480 Nm of torque for upcoming S 500 Plug-in Hybrid. Ratings will go with the consumption of less than 4L/100km.
However, making it to preview at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show it will follow the production route very shortly for the next year launch.
