Mercedes-Benz has now revealed that its 2013 GL will be revealed on May 16th in India. The new GL is particularly the upgraded version of the model currently on sale, but looks considerably different.
The new upcoming version looks more like M-Class and also features a day time running lights in the front. But the most important part of the event will be the presence of the legend, Boris Becker during the India launch of SUV. German automaker has also started a contest through its Facebook page that will allow one lucky winner to meet the legendry tennis star Boris Becker. Despite of the higher power and torque ratings, the new GL350 CDI is more fuel efficient and is 90 kg lighter than the current model. The new vehicle also supports a new system that is called surround view. This allows the driver to get an all-round view of the vehicle through 4 different cameras placed on the car. The electronically controlled third row seats also come as a part of standard package.
The new vehicle boasts of the features such as electronically controlled steering, electrical parking brakes, and an option of audio system and Olufsen with 14 speakers that delivers an whopping output of 1200 W. the exact pricing and other details about the car will be revealed once it is released by the company. It is expected that the upcoming model will be priced a little higher than the current generation of the GL Class.
