Audi has unveiled an updated version of its internationally sold A5, bringing it on par with all other mild-hybrid engine options for the time being. For the time being, A5’s four petrol and diesel options will get 12-volts mild-hybrid system with a belt driven alternator and starter which takes energy from the crankshaft and stores it in a lithium-ion battery.
According to Audi, this technology improves engine efficiency and reduces carbon emission. Design updates include a redesigned front and rear bumper, larger air intakes and wider front grille. Bigger changes can be seen inside where the older rotary infotainment controller makes way for a 10.1 touchscreen. All Audi cars now comes with Wi-Fi hotspots as standard and A5 is no different.
