When the W12 can’t do, then a V8 will definitely!
Hope so, this has made the Bentley to launched its new Flying Spur V8 in India for Rs 3.10 crore ex-showroom, Delhi.
Under the hoods, a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol is bullied to deliver the 500bhp and 660Nm of torque. Traction is driven to all four wheels via an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The 0-100kmph tie is unknotted in a time of 5.2 seconds while the car claimed top-speed of 295kph.
Those in India who wishes to own a Bentley but still had to save ounces of fuel, here is a great news for them, the British carmaker planted its V8 powered flagship with cylinder deactivation technology where upto cylinders are shut off as per the requirement and hence fuel is saved.
They say, the V8 doesn’t differ from W12 on the cosmetic front. Slightly differentiated exhaust finishers, and a red center to the Bentley logo makes it to stand apart from the bigger W12 powered Flying Spur.
Hence, the gist of aforesaid was pricing as well. On the present basis, the V8 powered new Bentley flagship costs Rs 10 lakh lesser. The British carmaker still claimed, though the engine is slightly turned down but there aren’t any compromises made to keep the driving factor exciting.
