The Chevrolet Captiva has done away with the tug of a manual handbrake and has replaced it with an electric one. Adding convenience inside are two cup holders, which can accommodate two one liter bottles. The Captiva has also replaced the upholstery with a new feel fabric and also incorporated a new audio system. The car support Aux in connections, Bluetooth and USB.

The best part is the engine upgrade. Drivers will be able to feel the power of an SUV with a new 2.2 liter turbocharged diesel engine as against the old 2-liter one. However, General Motors is also offering the model without the turbocharged engine as well.

The new power packed turbo engine can rev up to a 184 BHP and a torque of 400 Nm. The model without the turbocharger can achieve a maximum of approximately 1603 BHP of power and a torque of 350Nm. While the competition is wide open, the Chevrolet Captiva’s main competition is from the Mahindra XUV 500 and the Toyota Fortuner. Chevrolet is expected to do well with the new upgraded version as it is now positioned to hit the Indian roads in the high-end SUV segment.
