The aspirations of SUV had eaten up the whole of automakers, while Fiat is in the league to save its grace for India, is rumoured to launch a compact SUV till 2016.
The codename is X3U, and it will be based on the company’s very modular platform called 326.
Dimension meant to be under 4-meter in order to save the taxation.
The first initial of it can be seen on the Avventura, which may be transformed into the next level on compact SUV.
AS per the requirement, Fiat’s own 1.5-liter diesel engine will be deployed under the bonnet. It will be a toned down version of 1.6 JTD motor being currently in use with various Fiats and Alfa Romeos around the world.
Power could be near to 100bhp whereas the Automated Manual Tranmission (AMT) can be allied to go with the catchy trend.
Hence, it sounded of great pleasure that the very Italian Fiat is bring a new product after a gap of three years.
