New Fiat Linea to be launched in March

Fiat has unveiled the new Linea at the 2014 Auto Expo. The facelift version of this Fiat has updated interiors as well as exteriors. While in the front, the car gets a new grille, which has the logo of the company embossed on it, at the rear it has been changed to a large extent. This new Linea that was seen at the Auto Expo is expected to be launched by the first week March. The interiors of the car have been updated with a new audio system that has Bluetooth and USB+Aux in compatibility, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, reverse parking sensors and a different level of interior comfort.

Fiat Linea is expected to be powered by a 1.3-litre multi-jet and the 1.4-litre T-JET and FIRE engines. It is said that this new Linea will not get the 1.6-litre diesel engine and surely not in 2014. The car looks contemporary on the inside as the instrument panel has been completely revamped, while most of the other changes in the car are cosmetic changes. The Managing Director and President of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India Operations, Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli while talking about the vehicles showcased at the Auto Expo 2014 said that the new Linea is the second key product of the company, and it is expected that the car will strengthen the mid size sedan segment.

The new products of Fiat include the Abarth 500, Avventura 500 and Punto. All these new products of the company are expected to be launched in 2014 itself. While the Avventura is said to be based on the Punto platform, the Punto is said to be based on the same lines as that of Linea and will also features similar interiors.
