Ford Endeavour became the real ace of Ford India since it saved the grace of automaker when it was launched. Hopefully, the legacy is still continued till date and the Ford planned to bring out a new leaf of the book – unveiled the new Endeavour to the global market recently. Hope so, the same may also be brought to India in 2015, claimed a report on internet. But currently, the Ford is riding high on the EcoSport and also introduced the mild facelift of the current Endeavour to Indian market.
Based on the ranger pick-up, like the previous version, this too will see the assembly in India soon. Further localization on the blueprints of Ford may also reduce its price to a more dominating stature against the Toyota Fortuner and more.
Similar to its previous editions the front of the Ford SUV will be bold and chunky at the same time with trapezoidal front grille, big wheel arches, crispy chunk of mirrors, and a faux vent just behind the front wheel arch. The ace-winning stroke with this SUV will be wider and more planted aesthetics – unlike the current Ford Endeavour’s tall, boxy shape.
Based on the ladder frame chassis new Endeavour will continue to follow the seven-seat layout, with power to be delivered from a 2.2-litre and 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engines, with two- or four-wheel-drive, and the option of manual and automatic gearboxes.
Inside the cabin, a chunky four spoke steering wheel and Ford’s sync system would be some of the major changes to be named for. The four-wheel drive versions is said to be activated by a button on the dash.
The Endeavour will rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport when launched in 2015.
