Ford India recently unveiled their new Fiesta model to journalists in Bangalore. This will be the first of 8 models that Ford plans to release in India. The new Ford Fiesta is markedly different when compared to its previous generation model, the Ford Fiesta Classic both in terms of features and performance.
The new Ford Fiesta will be offered in two motor options. One is a twin cam 1.5l petrol TiVCT motor that delivers around 106.5bhp of max power and a peak torque of 14.3kgm. Moreover, India will be the first market where they are introducing these engines.
These engines have also been tuned to provide a greater fuel efficiency of 17kmpl overall mileage for the petrol engine and 23.5kmpl overall mileage for the diesel variant according to ARAI figures.
Some other key features include a setup for electric power steering including drift compensation which will take into account crosswinds and road camber. The new Ford Fiesta also features an all new Bluetooth arrangement, complete with USB and AUX ports along with voice function, allowing you to take calls as well as make calls. The new model also features stereo functions and climate control.
The standard features include ABS, twin airbags as well as cruise control on the high end Titanium variant.
