FUSO is on the verge of capturing the whole globe with its stride. Reportedly, in the recent piece of news, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (DICV), a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, Stuttgart, Germany along with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, Japan (MFTBC), a Daimler Company, started shipping of its robust DICV-made FUSO trucks to Indonesia, the key strategic market in Asia.
FUSO in Indonesia enjoys the market share of 45.4%, and inclusive of light-duty truck segment (5-8 tons GVW) served by the Colt Diesel, the company continues to prove its leadership position with a market share of 53.1% percent in (Jan – Dec) 2013. The company has already sold more than 280,000 units in Indonesia across light-medium and heavy duty segments.
Apart from Indonesia, New FUSO trucks are launched in Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, and Brunei. They too are successfully sold there.
The company has reached its one millionth sales milestone in 2013 since its market entry in 1970. Mitsubishi Fuso products for Indonesia are distributed by P.T. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB). MFTBC holds 18% of KTB shares.
