A new SUV has been unveiled by Hyundai at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show. Named Hyundai Lafesta, the model will be only sold in China for now. The Lafesta is based on the Hyundai Elantra and comes with a different suspension set up.
When it comes to design, the Lafesta takes more than a few design cues from the Hyundai’s Le Fil Rouge concept which was displayed a month back at the Geneva Motor Show. The Lafesta will come in two engine options – a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol – in varying states of tune from 130hp to 240hp. Both are paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission powering the front wheels.
