Learn about one of the most anticipated SUVs of 2022, the Mahindra Scorpio & we will tell you what changes & features you should be expecting to see in the Scorpio.
The Mahindra Scorpio will complete its twenty years of production in July 2021. The Scorpio had received the last update in 2014 and it was time for a new updated version of the hot-selling SUV.
The New Mahindra Scorpio 2022 will be positioned below The XUV 700 in the SUV hierarchy of the brand. The new Scorpio gets an all-new body on frame chassis which will increase the proportions of the Scorpio than before. The increased dimension also means that the interior will be roomier and airy than before.
Unlike the last facelift in 2014, this new Scorpio will get striking new looks both inside & out. On the outside over the camouflage, we can see a neat & crisp line running over the bonnet and alongside the body panels. The front facia looks beautiful with the LED projector headlamps and the new Mahindra logo which was launched with the XUV 700.
The Scorpio will now be ready to shadow all its competition, as it will no more be a dated & old body on frame chassis, as it is expected to receive an extensive list of modern features like six airbags, terrain response modes, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected features, LED headlamps and tail lamps, a digital MID, 360-degree surround camera view, dual-zone climate control, engine start/stop button, sequential turn indicators, and a regular sunroof.
However, it will miss out on some features which the XUV 700 gets like, the Autonomous driving assist features, panoramic sunroof, 10 – speaker audio system.
The Scorpio will get 2 engine options, a 2.0-litre Petrol M-Stallion engine producing 150 HP & a 2.2 L M-hawk diesel engine which might be offered in two power options, 130 HP for the lower variants & 150-160 HP for the higher variants.
The starting price of the Scorpio is expected to be Rs 10 lakhs
