For those who can’t buy an S-Class, this announcement is just for you. The smallest sedan of Mercedes that just resembles the flagship sedan of its badge is reported to be launching in India on November 25, 2014.
The new C-Class was much awaited for our shores and now it seems like bliss to our ears that finally it is coming.
However, if talking about the competition, nothing had been spruced up in this segment since long back, where automakers were busy revealing the hatchbacks and other such below the line, which was disappointing for the starting sedan range that sold well when those options weren’t available.
The launch will be concluded in two variants: C200 (petrol) and C220 CDI (diesel), expected to see the starting price of Rs 35 lakh.
Under the hoods, petrol version dubbed as C200 will make the statement with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder producing 211PS of max power and 350Nm of peak torque. The diesel part by C220CDI will be handled with a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder producing 170PS of power and 400Nm of torque. Both drivetrains will come assembled to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
On the aesthetic note, the Star-logoed entry-level sedan is framed with new design language. Long hoods ecstatically assimilate into front grille, which is consisted of two-slats and s bold Star logo amidst it. The rest of designing explanation we leave it up to you for writing criticisms.
Inside the cabin, as what the numbers suggest, it is spacious in nature and comes with inspiration from the S-Class. The central is very impressive now wearing a wood finish to it.
In the books of rivalry, new C-Class will take on the league with the likes of Audi A4 and BMW 3-Series. The car will enter to India via CBU route.
