New Volvo XC90 Adds 1300 Jobs

Volvo XC90 of the next-gen is ultimately an eye-catcher and undoubtedly has all the chirps and perks that Volvo claims with every of its model plate.

Though, better than the rest, Volvo’s flagship SUV was initially sold online and 1,927 units of the First Edition were grabbed during the 47 hours of sale. So, the looks and aesthetics didn’t stopped catching the heartthrobs, the numbers continue to ring the booking register, and now automaker felt a need to push up production force at its Torslanda facility, Gothenburg in Sweden.

As per to a report, more than 1,300 workers will be added which accumulates approximately 40% of the current workforce of 4,600 employees. The new force entitled the opening of a new body shop and lifted the production limit to 300,000 units every year.

The facility rolls out models like S60, S80, V60, V70 and XC70 other than the XC90.

Hence, the new SUV of Volvo will aid it to reach the 800,000 sales targets by 2020 with increase in sales by various manifolds experienced this year.
