Driven on the fast lane, Nissan is seeing prompt changes for its models to conquer the market shares in a jiff. The Japanese carmaker recently launched the facelift of Evalia with cosmetic changes for India, that too just after a year since the launch. It is been confirmed, by one of the leading automotive source, Micra too will see a next-gen model coming by 2016.
Hope so, the 2016 Micra will shed rounding curves and oomphs, instead would follow the stud and aggressive stuns with regards to standing next to the Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo. However, it can also be speculated, the Nissan wants to use the platform for developing hatchback-based sedans and other trims, likewise the competitive automotive badges.
Hence, confirming the new acceptance, Nissan’s product Chief Andy Palmer said, “The Micra will be a car designed for Europe, rather than for global sale, but with a concentration on achieving emerging market success. However, it won’t be a car that’s cute. We see it as a car that can sit easily next to the Ford Fiesta or VW Polo.”
Saving the grace, Nissan Micra will not be a unisex product in the future!
